What is acne?
Dealing with pimples and outbreaks
Acne is one of the most common skin conditions in the world, affecting up to 80% of teenagers and young adults. Although there have been many advancements in acne treatments, it remains a concern for many. There are several different treatments available for acne. Most treatments fall into two general categories: topical or systemic. Topical treatments include products like gels, lotions, or cleansers that you apply directly to the skin. Systemic acne treatment consists of oral medications taken by mouth once or twice a day for several weeks at a time. These can be used alone or in combination with other kinds of acne drugs.
Simply, acne can be treated with medications or by increasing hydration levels. We have a wide range of acne treatments that can fully clear your face and restore your confidence.
Treatments for scarring
Acne scars can be caused by anything from picking and squeezing, to infections and other skin conditions. While some of these scars are permanent, there are several treatments available that can help reduce the appearance of your scarring.
Acne scarring, such as ice-pick scars and deep boxcar scars, can be a lasting effect of acne. Acne scarring can be improved with a combination of treatment modalities including Coolpeel, Dermal filler and Rf microneedling.
Is acne treatable?
Acne is treated with prescription medications, which may include antibiotics and retinoids. Doctors also recommend topical creams, lotions or gels; these are available over the counter in many countries. Some prescription antibiotics may cause photosensitivity—a sensitivity to sunlight—and can lead to other skin side effects, such as peeling or redness of the skin and increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight.
However, acne lasers are the latest, most modern treatment for acne. They target the bacteria that cause breakouts, reduce acne-causing oil production, and help kill acne-producing viruses. The results can be subtle but long-lasting such as clearer skin and less inflammation, minor pore size reduction, reduced redness and duration of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation as well as a reduction in the number of treatments needed to achieve good results.
